On 18 March 2009, two Board Members, Beatrice Mtetwa and Jeremy Gauntlett SC, delivered keynote addresses at a legal forum entitled “Zimbabwe: The War on Law” hosted by Clifford Chance in London. The event focused on the Government of Zimbabwe’s disregard for the rule of law, and was co-presented by Freedom Under Law with ALBA, Human Rights Lawyers Association and Liberty. Shami Chakrabarti, director of Liberty and member of the International Advisory Board of Freedom Under Law, chaired the event.
